Vikings lose Christian Ponder

Vikings quarterback Christian Ponder suffered a concussion in Saturday’s game against the Washington Redskins. Ponder left the game in the third quarter and he will not return.

Ponder was hit hard by Bucs’ linebacker London Fletcher and defensive end Adam Carriker on a sack.

Ponder completed 8 of 13 passes for 68 yards before leaving the game. Joe Webb is in for Ponder. He scored on a 9-yard run on the next series to give the Vikings the lead.

The Vikings are also without running back Adrian Peterson after he suffered a knee injury that could end his season.
