Vikings pick up fifth-year options for Xavier Rhodes, Sharrif Floyd, not picking up Cordarrelle Patterson

The Minnesota Vikings picked up fifth-year options for cornerback Xavier Rhodes and defensive tackle Sharrif Floyd, but won't pick up the option for wide receiver Cordarrelle Patterson. Rhodes and Floyd are under contract through the 2017 season. Rhodes will be paid $8 million that year. Floyd is due $6.757 million. Patterson has been disappointing with just 863 receiving yards for his career. Follow me on Twitter: @AaronWilson_NFL Aaron Wilson covers the Texans for The Houston Chronicle.
