Vikings reach one-year, $2.5 million deal with Terence Newman

The Minnesota Vikings have reached a one-year, $2.5 million deal with veteran free agent cornerback Terence Newman, according to a league source. The deal includes $750,000 guaranteed. Newman, 36, was drafted fifth overall by the Dallas Cowboys in 2003. Newman played for Vikings coach Mike Zimmer with the Cowboys and Cincinnati Bengals.
