Vikings rule Adrian Peterson out
The Minnesota Vikings held out slim hope that Adrian Peterson would be able to rebound in time to play Sunday. That’s not going to happen, though, as the club ruled the running back out.
Peterson suffered a high sprain to his left ankle in the Vikings’ loss to the Oakland Raiders last Sunday. According to the Minneapolis Star Tribune, Peterson did very little work in practice on Friday, making the downgrading today almost expected.
Toby Gerhart will start at running back for the Vikings at the Georgia Dome.
