Vikings sign Harrison Smith to five-year, $51.25 million deal

The Minnesota Vikings rewarded safety Harrison Smith to a five-year, $51.25 million contract. It includes a $10 million signing bonus. Smith, a former Notre Dame standout, has started ever since the Vikings drafted him in the first round in 2012. Smith was a first-team All-Pro each of the past two seasons.
