Vikings will sit Kevin Williams remainder of preseason

The Minnesota Vikings are going to sit Kevin Williams down for the final two preseason games.

The talented defensive tackle is suffering from plantar fasciitis in his left foot, according to Mark Craig of the Minneapolis Star Tribune. The plan is to give him some rest so he’s all set when the regular season begins in 19 days.

We don’t know yet if Williams will be resting that left foot for the first four games of the season. The NFL hasn’t made it clear what it is going to do with players from the StarCaps case. It could be that Williams is on the bench for the first four games meaning he’ll have a long time to rest up.
