Vontae Davis not bothered by 'Hard Knocks' portrayal
The portrayal of Vontae Davis in the first installment of HBO's "Hard Knocks" series on the Miami Dolphins was certainly not in a positive light.
But Davis, who has lost his starting cornerback job to Richard Marshall for now, said he is OK with the way he was painted in the show - even though it cast him as being out of shape, being inconsistent in his play and even having a weak bladder, says the Palm Beach Post.
“The coach is supposed to be hard,” Davis said. “I want him to coach me hard. That’s why I’m here at training camp. Got to work harder, get better every day.”
General manager Jeff Ireland says the Dolphins still believe in Davis, if he can dedicate himself.
"If he can get his fundamentals and his techniques and his eyes all together, he’s going to be a great player in this league,” Ireland said.
