VY admits he has 'huge doubter base'
Vince Young is being brought to Buffalo to compete with Tyler Thigpen for the Bills' backup quarterback role fo now.
And Young said Tuesday he is OK with that situation for now.
"It's not about me," Young said. "I just want to go out and play football and help out any way I can."
Young said he hopes to take everything he has learned in his previous stops in Tennessee and Philadelphia and apply it to his game now in order to be a better quarterback.
"I'm just taking all of this knowledge and putting it into my game and ... it makes the game fun now, because you know what's going on," Young said.
Young admitted he has many detractors, but he is trying not to feed off that the way he said he once did.
"I have a huge doubter base," Young said. "I used to feed into that, but my biggest thing is (when) I feed into that, you can't make everybody happy. The only people you can make happy is your family members, your coaching staff, your teammates and the ones that do love you -- that's the ones I do focus on."
