Wade Phillips is 'worried' about Dez Bryant
Lingering issues with a high ankle sprain might end up sidelining rookie wide receiver Dez Bryant on Sunday.
The Dallas Cowboys could be without one of their top targets and their punt returner in a loser-is-done meeting with the Minnesota Vikings at the Metrodome.
According to a report by Gerry Fraley of the Dallas Morning News, Bryant missed nearly all of Thursday’s practice and coach Wade Phillips admitted he is “worried” about his talented rookie’s status.
Bryant has 17 receptions for 180 yards and he returned a punt for a touchdown in a Week 2 loss to the Chicago Bears. He was originally injured in the first week of training camp. Bryant sat out the entire preseason, which has made his success somewhat surprising given his lack of experience.
