Warren Sapp charged with domestic battery

Hall of Fame defensive lineman Warren Sapp has been charged with three counts of domestic battery stemming from an incident where he allegedly bit his girlfriend's finger, threw here to the ground and stepped on her head in April at the M Resort outside of Las Vegas. Sapp could face up to 18 months in jail if convicted. Sapp was arrested in February for assaulting and soliciting prostitutes during the Super Bowl in Arizona. He pleaded guilty to both charges. The solicitation charge was dropped after he completed a diversion program. He was fired from NFL Network following thawt arrest. In April, Sapp allegedly threw a margarita in her face. She told police he later bit her middle finger. Sapp stepped on the right side of her face and she thought she might have suffered a concussion. Sapp filed for bankruptcy in 2002.
