Weber works as Manning's top backup
In every year prior to last year, being Peyton Manning's backup was one of the NFL's most leisurely jobs.
But with Manning on a new team in the Denver Broncos, and coming off a season in which he didn't play due to neck surgery, the No. 2 man on the depth chart is getting a little more attention.
Most figured the second-team quarterback in Denver would be second-round pick Brock Osweiler or veteran Caleb Hanie. But in recent off-season work, Adam Weber, who was on the Broncos' practice squad last year, was the second-string QB, says the Denver Post.
"I don't know if they have a depth chart at all," Weber said. ""But getting reps out here is good. Last year I didn't get a lot."
