Wes Welker clears concussion protocol
Whenever Wes Welker is eligible to play he'll be able to play.
On Friday, the Broncos confirmed, via The Denver Post, that Welker has cleared the NFL's concussion protocol. He sustained a concussion against the Texans during the preseason, which was his third in the past year.
Welker is currently serving a four-game suspension for testing positive for amphetamines. However, if the new HGH testing and drug policy agreement between the NFL and NFLPA goes in effect, Welker could see his suspension overturned.
Browns receiver Josh Gordon, initially suspended for the season, is reportedly seeing his suspension cut down to 10 games if the policy passes.
Welker, as a first-time offender, could theoretically play this Sunday if this agreement becomes in place.
