Who dat! Saints merchandise on fire
Who dat says they need some NFL merchandise?
Well, those who do have been buying New Orleans Saints gear at a never before seen clip. Daren Rovell of CNBC reports that the world champion Saints led the NFL in merchandise sales for the one-year period that ended March 31. What’s amazing is that stretch includes less than two months of post-Super Bowl XLIV frenzy.
What is more amazing? The Saints had never previously ranked No. 1. In fact, according to Rovell, they had never previously been in the top 10.
The Saints were followed by Pittsburgh, Dallas, Minnesota and Indianapolis at No. 5. Rounding out the top 10 were the New York Giants, New England, Chicago, Philadelphia and Denver. It’s not a surprise that Brett Favre topped the league in jersey sales. Again. Favre has the all-time most popular jersey in NFL history.
