Willis McGahee wants four more NFL seasons

Browns running back Willis McGahee, a free agent to start the season, hopes to spend four more seasons in the NFL.

McGahee wasn't on a roster when the season started and became a member of the Browns after the organization traded Trent Richardson to the Colts for draft picks.

McGahee was drafted by Buffalo out of the University of Miami but was ultimately traded to the Ravens. After he was released by Baltimore prior to the 2012 season, McGahee spent two seasons in Denver. Including this year, McGahee has been in the NFL for 11 seasons.

"I want to play four more years," McGahee said, via the Cleveland Plain Dealer. "This would come from a guy who was never supposed to play again. My back has always been against the wall."

McGahee, at the University of Miami, suffered a gruesome ACL injury in the 2003 Fiesta Bowl, which served as the BCS national championship game for the 2002 NCAA season. The injury held him out of his rookie season while he rehabilitated it.

In his career, McGahee has amassed 8,474 rushing yards and 65 touchdowns. If he can get four more years without injury, even as a rotational back, there's a chance he could make a run for 10,000 career yards.
