Winston Justice takes pay cut to stick with Eagles
Winston Justice has taken a pay cut to remain with the Philadelphia Eagles.
The veteran right tackle has reduced his salary for this season in order to stay with the club, according to the National Football Post’s Andrew Brandt, and it could be as a backup. While Justice was removed from the physically unable to perform list, Todd Herremans is at right tackle currently.
“We wouldn't have activated him if he wasn't ready to practice," general manager Howie Roseman told reporters today.
Interestingly, the Eagles decided to retain veteran center Jamaal Jackson even though he’s also been relegated to backup status. Andy Reid surely knows it’s difficult to come by experienced backups on the line, and the Eagles feel comfortable with these players.
