With the 16th pick in the draft, the Jets select…
Quinton Coples, defensive end, North Carolina (6-6, 285)
Coples is an interesting fit for the Jets because at 6-6, 285-pounds, he’s got the frame to win on the edge as a five-technique vs. the run game, as well as add some athleticism to their pass rush. He’s a smooth, long-armed power player who makes everything look very easy. Coples adds a lot of versatility to the Jets' defensive front seven, especially on passing downs.
