WR Victor Cruz makes the final cut for Giants
Undrafted rookie sensation Victor Cruz, the wide receiver who sparkled with three touchdown receptions in the preseason opener against the New York Jets, has made the 53-man roster for the New York Giants.

The Giants also let go running backs Andre Brown and Gartrell Johnson and tight end Bear Pascoe. Waived were quarterback Dominick Randolph; fullback Jerome Johnson; wide receiver Tim Brown; tight end Scott Chandler; offensive linemen Jacob Bender, Herb Taylor, Jim Cordle and Todd Londolt; defensive linemen Tommie Hill, Alex Hall, Dwayne Hendricks and Nate Collins; and defensive backs Seth Williams, Courtney Brown, Matt O’Hanlon and Sha’reff Rashad.
The club is expected to try to re-sign Collins to the practice squad on Sunday per a league source.
