Wrangler yanks Favre ads from NFL broadcasts
Wrangler jeans has lassoed the Brett Favre ads it typically runs during NFL broadcasts and they’ll remain in the pokey for the time being.
Darren Rovell of CNBC reports that after fallout from the alleged passes Favre made at Jenn Sterger, that the company pulled the Favre ads from NFL broadcasts this weekend where he throws passes in the backyard. Originally, Wrangler was monitoring the situation, but something changed this weekend when Wrangler ads during NFL games featured Dale Earnhardt Jr.
According to Rovell, Favre Wrangler ads ran 10 times over the weekend, but they were on niche channels, not heavily viewed NFL games. Favre’s ads remain on the jean maker’s Web site.
