Yo Murphy sets his sights on Lingerie Bowl
Yo Murphy is the only player to have suited up for a triple crown of football titles.
The retired wide receiver played for Super Bowl, World Bowl and Grey Cup championships, according to Joe Smith of the St. Pteersburg Times.
Now, the 39-year-old Murphy is aiming for an appearance in the Lingerie Bowl. As a coach. Murphy coaches the Tampa Breeze, which is off to a 3-0 start with a playoff berth already clinched. The Lingerie Bowl will be played in Las Vegas on Super Bowl Sunday.
“I can't see anybody else playing in this (Lingerie Bowl) but me," Murphy said. "I think I've played in every game. They even make up bowl games for me."
Now, he’s working toward a championship in which the game is 7-on-7 tackle football for women. Who wear lingerie-type uniforms.
"I think the name (Lingerie Football League) does it a disservice," Murphy said. "It doesn't let people know what good athletes they are until they come to the game. You think lingerie, and you're like, 'Oh, girls will be out there doing Powder Puff.' But they hit, they run. It shows you how girls can be beautiful and still be athletic and tough."
