Young seeks court protection regarding loan
Buffalo Bills quarterback Vince Young headed to court seeking an order of protection from a loan company that says he defaulted on a $1.877 million loan, says the Associated Press.
Young maintains he had no knowledge of a loan taken out in his name with Pro Player Funding, and is asking the court to prevent the company from collecting in full the remaining $1.69 million it claims it is owed after Young missed a payment, causing a default and a full payment.
Young said in an affadavit that he did not sign the loan and had no knowledge of who signed his name on the loan. Meanwhile, Pro Player attempted to serve papers on the quarterback while he was in camp with the Buffalo Bills, but was turned away by team security officials.
