Your Week 7 Sunday NFL Preview

Atlanta (-7) at Tennessee After starting at 5-0 start this season, Atlanta stumbled last week versus New Orleans. I look for a bounce back this week at Tennessee. Tennessee has struggles all season and today they will be without standout rookie quarterback Marcus Mariota. Zach Mettenberger gets the start for Tennessee and he has no movement skills in the pocket. He will be a sitting duck for the Falcon pass rushers. I look for Atlanta to easily win this game. Give the points and count your money! Minnesota at Detroit (even) Detroit finally won a game last week against the Bears in a game they very easily could have lost. Still, they got Megatron Johnson involved in the game and he came up with some huge plays. The reports that Johnson had lost his skill set were very premature. Minnesota has been inconsistent all season. You can never be sure what Vikings team will show up. Teddy Bridgewater in his second year still hasn’t been able to get untracked. To date he has thrown only three touchdown passes to four interceptions. I feel that last weeks game gave Detroit a boost and that momentum will keep them going with a close win over Minnesota. New Orleans at Indianapolis (-4.5) Most people will stay away from this game. Indianapolis has been one of the most disappointing teams in the NFL this year. Andrew Luck looked like he was ready to join the elite quarterbacks in the league has been average at best. Still there is too much talent on this team not to bust out. Take away last week and New Orleans has been awful all year. The defense can’t stop anyone and Drew Brees isn’t what he used to be. Unless the Colts are trying to get their coach fired, I feel they will come out and have their best showing of the year. They need too or it could be a long season. This IS the pivotal game of the season for Indy. Pittsburgh at Kansas City (-3) This is another game that most betters will stay away from. Kansas City has been a disappointment both on offense and defense and it doesn’t look like things will turn around very quickly. On the other hand, they are playing a Pittsburgh team that has to play their third string quarterback in Landry Jones. There is a reason he is number three, he can’t play! What the Steelers have going for them is a stout defense. Still with the game being in KC I have to go with the home team. I can’t believe an Andy Reid coached team will stay down.   Bonus Raiders (+3.5) at San Diego Houston at Miami (-4.5)
