Packers, Seahawks Dominate Week 6 Ticket Prices On Secondary Market
Week 6 of the 2015 NFL is here, and the Green Bay Packers and Seattle Seahawks again find themselves hosting top-priced games on the secondary market. With Aaron Rodgers leading Green Bay to a 5-0 record after losing star wideout Jordy Nelson in the preseason, they’ll host a bumbling San Diego team at Lambeau Field Sunday. The Seahawks have also had their fair share of problems on the field. The defending NFC champions are just 2-3 and head home to face a surging Carolina Panthers team that sits atop the NFC South at 5-0. However, the 12th Man will still be paying big prices for tickets on the secondary market despite the team’s early season woes as the average price still exceeds the $300 average. Other most expensive games this week include a meeting between the Giants and Eagles in Philadelphia, Cardinals and Steelers in Pittsburgh and Patriots and Colts in the first meeting since the Deflategate controversy in last season’s AFC Championship Game. According to TiqIQ the average secondary market price for Packers vs Chargers tickets is $376.63. The cheapest ticket for the game is listed for $198. The two teams last met in 2011, when the Packers inched out a 45-38 victory at Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego. The Seahawks have struggled on the road this season but have found considerable success at CenturyLink Field since the turn of the decade. The team last lost at home against Dallas during Week 6 last season, marking a nine-game win streak including two playoff victories against Carolina and Green Bay. They’ll look to hand the Panthers their first loss of the season Sunday, when Seahawks vs Panthers tickets average $303.26 and get-in price is $138. Cheap flights to Seattle on Hipmunk.com can get Seahawks' fans looking to be a part of the 12th man for the first time this season. Seattle hotels on Hipmunk, from two-star options to four-star options, range from $79 to $194 per night to be the one-stop shop for any traveling NFL fan. A NFC East battle will commence between the Giants and Eagles at Lincoln Financial Field Monday night in what will be the third most expensive game of the week. Eagles vs Giants tickets on TiqIQ average $243.54 and the cheapest ticket is listed for $114. The Giants have found their footing after a slow start and look to claim their fourth consecutive win against a struggling Eagles team. The Steelers are set to welcome the Cardinals at Heinz Field Sunday, where tickets own a median price of $183.29 and a $71 get-in price. The Cardinals head east in search of their fifth win of the season while the Steelers look to make headway against the undefeated Bengals in the AFC North. Rounding out this week’s top-priced games is a matchup between the Patriots and Colts in Indianapolis. The Deflategate controversy hasn’t seemed to generate massive demand, however, as tickets average $170.65 and get-in price is $66. The Patriots continue their assault on the league after cruising to a 4-0 record. The Colts are also hot after winning their last three and claiming first place in the AFC South.
