Wide Open NFC East Division Has Ticket Prices Soaring On Secondary Market

As always seems to be the case, the NFC East figures to be one of the most wide-open divisions in the NFL, so expect an exciting race that should span all 17 weeks. Tony Romo and Dez Bryant are healthy, which bodes well for Dallas’ chances in the division. The New York Giants opted to re-tool their defense via free agency, while the Washington Redskins made a big move to bolster its already deep roster in hopes of defending their division crown. The Philadelphia Eagles are a sizeable underdog in this division, but new head coach Doug Pedersen has a winning pedigree and a pretty good group of talent in place.

Washington (9-7) enters the 2016 season as the reigning NFC East champions. Due to injuries and constant turmoil in the division, the Redskins rode the right arm of Kirk Cousins to the playoffs. Washington ran into Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers in the Wild Card Round and were drummed, 35-18. Despite the loss, it was an encouraging season for a franchise that hasn’t had much success over the past decade. Cousins appears to be the quarterback of the future for this team, while Jordan Reed emerged as one of the best tight ends in football. A healthy DeSean Jackson should help Cousins and Co. stretch the field. On defense, Washington added Josh Norman in free agency to bolster its secondary, which could be huge. It won’t be an easy task repeating as division champs, since Washington will have to play a first-place schedule this season. In the process, tickets have gone up on the secondary market going into the campaign, with Redskins fans seeking more success.

Philadelphia (7-9) fired head coach Chip Kelly and decided to bring in ex-Kansas City Chiefs coordinator Doug Pedersen. Under Pedersen, Philadelphia will play at a reduced pace and focus on ball-control and defense. On offense, expect a lot of hand-offs to Ryan Mathews, who will take over as Philadelphia’s lead running back after DeMarco Murray was shipped to Tennessee during the offseason. As a result, expect Mathews to see a lot of touches in this backfield.. Sam Bradford will be under center in Week 1, but may be challenged by rookie Carson Wentz as the season progresses. On defense, Philadelphia locked up Fletcher Cox to a long-term deal, so expect him to anchor the defense for years to come. Eagles tickets are pricey despite the team’s lower than usual expectations, but fans can at least save on their Lincoln Financial Field parking\through ParkWhiz.com, which boasts affordable parking options all around the stadium..

The New York Giants (6-10) bid farewell to longtime head coach Tom Coughlin and opted to promote offensive coordinator Ben McAdoo to the position. Eli Manning will once again be under center and will attack defenses by peppering Odell Beckham Jr., rookie Sterling Shepard, and Victor Cruz with targets. On defense, New York signed signed Damon Harrison, Oliver Vernon, and Janoris Jenkins to shore up its leaky defense. If New York’s defensive unit can play better, it should be more involved in the playoff hunt, after blowing so many late leads a season ago. Fans that want to secure tickets to the first Giants home game of the year should check out Razorgator, which features New York Giants tickets to the home opener starting at $133. This could mark Big Blue’s return to the postseason.

Dallas (4-12) had a forgettable season, mainly due to injury. Dallas went 1-7 without Tony Romo and did not have Dez Bryant for large portions of the season. Both Romo and Bryant are healthy, which will boost playoff aspirations in Dallas. In addition, Dallas added talented running back Ezekiel Elliott in the NFL Draft to buoy its rushing attack. Elliott was regarded as the top running back in the Draft and will run behind the best offensive line in football, which could allow him to make an immediate impact in his freshman campaign. The defense will have some potential as well. As usual, Dallas Cowboys tickets are amongst the hottest tickets in all of sports, which is why fans should start securing them as soon as possible. For instance, the get-in price on Razorgator to the club’s Week 1 affair with the rival Giants starts at $122. More likely than not, that price will go up, as the Cowboys once again rank atop the league for most expensive tickets.
