The Chicago Bears have hired Ohio State running backs coach Stan Drayton as their new running backs coach.
Drayton spent the last four seasons at Ohio State coaching running backs and being named assistant head coach-offense the past two years.
Drayton helped the Buckeyes win the national championship as sophomore running back Ezekiel Elliott finished third in the nation in rushing and second in school history with 1,878 yards.
In 2013, running back Carlos Hyde rushed for 1,521 yards and 15 touchdowns.
Drayton spent the 2010 season as running backs coach-recruiting coordinator at Floria.
Drayton has also worked at Syracuse, Tennessee, Mississippi State, Bowling Green, Villanova, Pennsylvania, Eastern Michigan and his alma mater, Allegheny (Pa.) College.
Drayton returns to the NFL for the first time since he served as a quality control coach with the Green Bay Packers for three seasons.
