Veteran executive Bill Polian won't be joining the Buffalo Bills, according to ESPN.

Polian will be staying at ESPN.

Bills owner Terry Pegula had spoken to Polian about going to Buffalo where he was previously in charge of football operations.

Polian, 72, denied reports that he was definitely going back to the Bills. According to ESPN, no formal offer was ever made, but discussions were held.

Polian is a six-time NFL Executive of the Year award winner. He's a finalist for the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
