The Buffalo Bills placed offensive guard Chris Williams on injured reserve with a back injury, ending his season.

Williams is a former Chicago Bears first-round draft pick.

He was starting for the Bills prior to getting hurt.

The Bills signed Williams to a four-year, $13.5 million contract in March.

The Bills replaced him on the roster by promoting safety Kenny Ladler from the practice squad.
