Instead of patrolling defenses at middle linebacker for the Chicago Bears, retired defensive icon Brian Urlacher will be hitting the airwaves.
Urlacher has joined FOX Sports 1 as an NFL analyst, according to the Chicago Tribune.
Urlacher will appear alongside Jay Glazer, Curt Menefee and Ronde Barber on FOX Football Daily starting Aug. 19.
Urlacher retired after a contract dispute with the Bears and eschewed interest from other NFL teams.
He's not the only legendary middle linebacker to retire this year and get a television gig. Former Baltimore Ravens star middle linebacker Ray Lewis retired and joined ESPN.
