The Bronko Nagurski Trophy is awarded annually to the nation's best defensive player by the Football Writers Association of America and the Charlotte Touchdown Club. Representatives on the annual Watch List includes linemen, linebackers and defensive backs.
The FWAA and the Charlotte Touchdown Club will announce five finalists for the 2011 Bronko Nagurski Trophy on Nov. 17 before the winner is announced at the annual Bronko Nagurski Trophy Banquet on Dec. 12 at the Westin Hotel in Charlotte, N.C.
Eighty-seven players made the watch list for this year's award, which was won by Clemson defensive end Da’Quan Bowers last season.
