The San Diego Chargers signed former Pro Bowl punter Mat McBriar with Mike Scifres still injured.
McBriar has previous stints with the Denver Broncos, Seattle Seahawks, Dallas Cowboys, Philadelphia Eagles and Pittsburgh Steelers.
He has 589 career punts for 26,581 yards and a 45.1-yard career average.
The Chargers signed center Jeff Baca to the practice squad.
