Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay is in trouble with the law and apparently his sobriety.
Isray was arrested Sunday night on drunken driving chargers and possession of a controlled substance, according to the Indianapolis Star.
All NFL employees, including owners, are subject to the NFL personal-conduct policy. Irsay could be looking at hefty fines.
His bond was set at $22,500
"Actually working, sorry naysayers..I don't drink...haven't in over 15 years," Irsay wrote on Twitter last October. "I know when your unhappy or jealous it's easy to b mean-spirited."
Irsay acknowledged in 2002 having been addicted to pain killers.
"After several years of orthopedic operations and procedures, accompanied by long bouts of chronic pain, I became dependent on prescription pain medications," Irsay said in a statement 11 years ago. "This summer I sought professional help at a nationally recognized facility located outside Indiana. I have successfully dealt with my dependence and my chronic pain issues."
