The Dallas Cowboys have activated defensive tackle Josh Brent from the reserve-suspended list.

They cut linebacker Tim Dobbins

Brent was recently signed to a one-year, $745,000 contract extension for 2015, according to a league source.

Brent got no signing bonus or guaranteed money.

Brent served a 10-game suspension stemming from him driving a car while under the influence of alcohol that killed Cowboys linebacker and friend Jerry Brown in 2012.

Brent was convicted of intoxication manslaughter. He served time in jail and 45 days in a treatment facility.
