Former Kansas City Chiefs and Cleveland Browns coach Romeo Crennel is expected to be named the Houston Texans' defensive coordinator following the East-West Shrine all-star game, according to ESPN.
Like new Texans coach Bill O'Brien, Crennel is a former New England Patriots assistant. Yet they had never worked on the same staff before despite their common ties.
No announcement is expected until after Crennel coaches in the all-star game.
