The St. Louis Rams will host former Missouri wide receiver Danario Alexander for a workout on Monday.
Alexander, who had knee surgery in February, held a small pro day-type workout last month in Houston. There are questions about the health of him, but the Rams have consistently shown interest and Gridiron Gateway reports that if all goes well Alexander could be signed to a free-agent contract.
“I’m pretty excited,” Alexander told the Web site. “I’ve been working out and rehabbing and for me to get the opportunity this weekend, it’s a pretty big deal.”
Alexander had already been to visit the Rams once, showing up three weeks ago to take a physical. He’s also visited the Seattle Seahawks to take a physical.
He was a dynamic performer for the Tigers last season. Scouts have labeled him as a long strider, but that’s not an issue nearly as much as the condition of his knee. The Rams are looking for help at the position.
