Miami Dolphins defensive end Tony McDaniel will miss at least a couple of weeks after undergoing surgery for a fractured hand.
According to the South Florida Sun-Sentinel, McDaniel will be out at least this Sunday against the Houston Texans, but might be able to return in a couple of weeks and play with a cast on his hand, if he can get approval from team doctors.
McDaniel started in the Dolphins nickel package Monday night against the New England Patriots.
The Dolphins re-signed him to a two-year, $7 million contract in the off-season.
