The Miami Dolphins plan to sign coach Joe Philbin to a contract extension, according to the Miami Herald.
Owner Stephen Ross retained Ross following another season of not making the playoffs.
Philbin is 23-25 overall, going 7-9, 8-8 and 8-8.
He has a 23-25 record, having finished 7-9, 8-8, and 8-8.
Philbin’s record in December is 7-8.
