Former San Francisco 49ers running back LaMichael James signed with the Miami Dolphins' practice squad.
James was cut by the 49ers recently, at his request.
The Dolphins also signed Emmanuel Dieke to the practice squad.
James is a former 49ers second-round draft pick from Oregon.
James visited the Dolphins on Sept. 17.
