Philadelphia Eagles defensive tackle Mike Patterson collapsed during practice this morning at Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pa.
According to Paul Domowitch of the Philadelphia Daily News, Patterson has been taken from the school’s campus in an ambulance. It is not clear if Patterson became ill in the heat. According to other reports, Patterson was wearing his helmet when he collapsed.
He fell before a drill was to begin. Hopefully, Patterson was taken away in an ambulance only as a precaution.
