Former New York Giants cornerback Terrell Thomas announced his retirement.

Thomas didn't play last season.

Thomas, 30, had knee issues, including three tears of his right anterior cruciate ligament.

“Terrell was smart and tough and a very good player,” Giants general manager Jerry Reese said. “He quickly became a ‘pro’s pro’ during his time with the Giants.”
