The Jacksonville Jaguars have lost cornerback Rashean Mathis for the remainder of the season after he tore the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee in Sunday's 17-3 win over Indianapolis.
Mathis suffered the injury on a non-contact play, said Tania Ganguli of the Florida Times-Union, as the knee buckled when he planted his left foot into the ground.
To make matters more uncertain, the nine-year veteran is scheduled to be a free agent at the end of the season.
