The New York Jets are signing veteran defensive end Jason Babin to a two-year contract.

He was cut by the Jacksonville Jaguars this year.

Babin was playing under a three-year, $7.275 million contract filled with incentives and roster bonuses that included $500,000 guaranteed. That came in the form of a $500,000 roster bonus paid on the sixth day of the league year.

The Jaguars had signed him to a new deal days after he voided the last two years of his original deal.

Babin, 34, led the Jaguars last season with 7.5 sacks. He started every game. Now, he's a Jet.
