Cleveland Browns star wide reciever Josh Gordon insists that he's giving his full effort.

However, the results aren't there. He caught two passes for 15 yards in a loss to the Indianapolis Colts last week.

"Everything looks slower when you're not getting the ball," Gordon said. "It definitely wasn't the defense. Maybe we weren't getting the right looks, at least me, and just couldn't produce enough, I think, in the red zone to really just spark something. We were trying to catch rhythm, and nobody really got it going. ... We're trying to figure it out. I really don't know."

Gordon missed the bulk of the season while serving a suspension for violating the NFL drug policy.

"In the heat of battle, with the detail of routes and detail of coverages, it takes a lot of work and a lot of reps," offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan said. "In fairness to Josh, he hasn't had those. I think he's working at it. There's not a day that he takes off."
