A judge has denied bond to former Green Bay Packers defensive lineman Johnny Jolly as he awaits a court hearing Tuesday on his latest charges.
Jolly was arrested Saturday in Houston, the third time he has been picked up on drug-related charges in three years. He faces charges of possession of codeine and tampering with evidence, and he’s currently on probation from a previous bust. Jolly has been suspended indefinitely by NFL commissioner Roger Goodell for violation of the league’s drug policy.
Officers pulled over a truck Jolly and two other men were in because it matched the description of one used in a shooting. According to the Green Bay Press-Gazette, officers observed Jolly throwing a bag out the window of the vehicle. During the stop, Jolly dumped a cup believed to be containing codeine on the floor of the vehicle. Two bottles believed to contain codeine were discovered.
