Beanie Wells’ availability for Sunday’s game at Minnesota is in question after the Arizona Cardinals running back had an allergic reaction to an injection he received in his right knee at the beginning of the week.

According to the Arizona Republic, Wells received an injection of Orthovisc, which is a lubricant for the joint. Wells had arthroscopic knee surgery in September. He says he is feeling better but he’s missed parts of practices for two days now.

“Very, very seldom do you have a reaction like he did," Cardinals coach Ken Whisenhunt said, per the report. "So there is really nothing wrong with his knee. It's just about getting the swelling out."

Wells got his first career start last Sunday in the loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. If he’s healthy, he will start against the Vikings.
