Detroit Lions wide receiver Ryan Broyles is out for the remainder of the season with a torn Achilles suffered against the Dallas Cowboys and will have surgery Tuesday.
Broyles is out for the third consecutive season with a major injury.
The former second-round draft pick from Oklahoma tore his left anterior cruciate ligament as a senior for the Sooner. He tore his right anterior cruciate ligament last year as a rookie.
Broyles caught eight passes for 85 yards this season.
"If anybody can come back from it, he can," Lions coach Jim Schwartz told reporters.
