Detroit Lions safety Amari Spievey was arrested Tuesday in Connecticut and after a fight with his girlfriend over child support.
The Middletown Press reports Spievey has been charged with third-degree assault, risk of injury to a child and disorlderly conduct. Spievey’s girlfriend Lisamarie Santos was charged, as well, with risk of injury to a child and disorderly conduct.
According to a complaint by Santos, Spievey put his hand on her neck and pushed her during an argument Tuesday. Police noted a red mark on her neck. Santos allegedly pushed Spievey while he was holding the couple’s 2-year-old daughter.
Bond for Spievey was set at $5,000.
