The Carolina Panthers adjusted veteran linebacker Jon Beason's six-year, $51 million contract this week.
His salary for this season was reduced from $5.25 million to a $1 million salary fully guaranteed for skill, injury and cap.
The deal also includes a $500,000 roster bonus due today as well as a $250,000 workout bonus, a $1.75 million per game roster bonus paid $109,375 per game active and a $500,000 Pro Bowl bonus.
There were no other changes to the deal, which included a $20 million signing bonus and a total of $25.25 million guaranteed.
