In the wake of his sixth postseason loss, Cincinnati Bengals coach Marvin Lewis plans on returning for next season.
He's been coaching the Bengals for the past dozen years.
"That's my plan," Lewis said following a 26-10 loss to the Indianapolis Colts. "Tomorrow's not promised for anyone. That's part of life in the NFL and the finality of losing when you lose in the playoffs."
Lewis is under contract through next season.
The Bengals have made the playoffs four years in a row.
Lewis, Jim Mora, Steve Owen and Marty Schottenheimer are the only coaches to lose six consecutive playoff games..
"The only way to do it is to at some point -- whoever it is, whatever it will be -- to go back to work, put their heads down and kick the door down," Lewis said. "That's all you can do. There's no other words about it."
