Aaron Maybin will be returning to the New York Jets in time for off-season workouts to being, according to his Twitter account.
Maybin was a first-round pick of the Buffalo Bills in 2009, but struggled there and was released after just two seasons.
He then signed with the Jets, and found a role as a pass rush specialist from his outside linebacker spot in Rex Ryan's 3-4 system in New York. Maybin recorded six sacks in 13 games for the Jets.
