To no one's surprise, the Indianapolis Colts will take Andrew Luck with the first overall pick in the NFL Draft on Thursday.
Grigson made the announcement, ending what had been a foregone conclusion from at least the moment the Colts jettisoned Peyton Manning in early March and probably dating back to when they finished with the league's worst record to "earn" the first pick.
The Colts had thrown up a smokescreen a few weeks ago suggesting Robert Griffin III was still in play, but Luck will be the centerpiece of a rebuilt Indy roster that will begin in large part this weekend.
