Ochocowboy is ready to roll.
Chad Ochocinco doesn’t see an alternative at this point.
The Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver will ride the bull Deja Blu during intermission today in the Professional Bull Riders event in Atlanta, all something that began on his creative Twitter account.
“I have no choice,” Ochocinco said, according to Joe Reedy of the Cincinnati Enquirer.
What in the world led a clearly bored Ochocinco during the lockout to dream this mission up? Typically, he’s talking about running around with professional soccer players, and he had the brief MLS tryout earlier this spring in Kansas City. Why this?
“I don’t know,” he replied. “I’m not thinking half the time I tweet.”
There is something to be said for honesty.
Per the report, Ochocinco fears his hand not coming off the rope when it’s time to dismount his ride. As part of the stunt, Deja Blu gets a new name. If Ochocinco rides the bull, he said he will call it “Marvin Lewis.” If he chickens out, it will e called “#58 No Show Cinco.”
Reedy says if Ochocinco leaves the chute on the bull, he will receive $10,000. If he can last eight seconds, he’ll get a new Ford truck and a mower. Good luck, Ochocinco. This may be a little more difficult than soccer.
See the silliness the lockout creates?
